This conference aims to gather scholars in the fields of Translation Studies, Cross-Cultural Studies and Chinese Pedagogy from the Asian-Pacific Area to present their research results and exchange ideas on current issues in these rapidly developing fields. The goal is to create a synergy among established and novice researchers by sharing the participants’ current research results, opening up new research horizons, and possibly setting up collaboration in the field of Translation Studies, Cross-Cultural Studies and Chinese Pedagogy.

The theme for papers may be focused on the following topics
1. Current trends in translation & intercultural studies
2. Teaching of translation in Asian-Pacific areas
3. Translation and cross-cultural communication
4. Translation, writing, critics & publishing patronage
5. Regional interdisciplinary translation studies
6. Pedagogical Translation and Interpretation
7. Translation and Chinese Language Acquisition
8. Translation as/in Education
