Conference on Training and Pedagogy in Translation, Seoul 2014

KATS celebrates its 15th anniversary and joins hands with Ewha Research Institute for Translation Studies (ERITS) to co-host an international conference on training and pedagogy in translation and interpreting studies on 17-18 October 2014. Conference information is available at http://translationstudies.or.kr

The Korean Association of Translation Studies (KATS) has played a crucial role in the development of translation studies in South Korea by hosting domestic and international conferences and by publishing a refereed journal, the Journal of Translation Studies, five times a year in order to provide a forum to bring members of our discipline together to discuss matters related to translation studies.

This year, KATS celebrates its 15th anniversary and joins hands with Ewha Research Institute for Translation Studies (ERITS) to co-host an international conference on training and pedagogy in translation and interpreting studies on 17-18 October 2014.

By gathering teachers, researchers, and practitioners with diverse backgrounds under the theme of "Pathways to Innovative Training and Pedagogy," the conference hopes to identify current issues and trends in this domain and advances in teaching and research methodology and further enhance our teaching practices.

Celebrating this auspicious event, KATS invites scholars from around the world to submit their scholarly essays to the international edition of the Journal of Translation Studies, which is published once a year and is enlisted in the Korea Citation Index (KCI).

The Journal of Translation Studies accepts articles in English, French, Spanish, and German.

We very much look forward to your active participation and contribution.
