NSTS 2011 Research Symposium Lecture by Professor Anthony Pym Part 1/2

Nida School of Translation Studies sponsored a Translation Studies Research Symposium in NYC September 14, 2011.

Translation takes place in complex cultural situations with equally complex outcomes, including inculturation of religious discourse, localization within utopian globalization, and marginalization of gender and identity.
Professors Anthony Pym and Gayatri Chakravorty Spivakmet with a group of 40other scholars to speak about their research on inculturation and gender and translation in the global utopia, respectively. Professor Sandra Bermann and Professor Edwin Gentzler responded to these presentations.
